Dr. Danny Reinberg is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Danny is currently and has been an HHMI Investigator since 1994. His expertise is in biochemistry and molecular biology. In particular, his group devises experiments performed in vitro and in vivo to understand the molecular mechanisms that drive the epigenetic regulation of gene expression that gives rise to the special features of different cell types. His work has highlighted several diseased states that are a consequence of aberrancies in these mechanisms.
