Paola Scaffidi is a Director of Research at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO). Her group investigates how disruption of epigenetic control promotes tumor initiation and evolution across cancer types. She otained her PhD from the Open University of London and trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the NCI/NIH in the US. In 2014 she established her laboratory at the Francis Crick Institute in London, and joined IEO as a Senior Investigator in 2025.
